CasterStats has been designed to make it as easy as possible for you to keep in touch with your audience.

Dashboard

Central to CasterStats is the Dashboard. Here you can configure your screen to show as many windows as you want, mixing and matching from:

Audience graph - showing the number of sessions in last 5 hours and the number of connections and deconnections. Useful to analyze the behavior of your audience.
Localisation map - you can actually see where your audience is. The color density of each country varying with the size of your audience. Zoom in to see sessions on a city by city basis.
Active Sessions - shows details of your currently connected audience such as geographical location, player version, connection time.
Events Log - you can follow the detailed activity of your servers.
Server Monitoring - keep an eye on server load and status.

All of the plug-ins can be filtered so that you only see the data relevant to your need, for example you can group data relative to different servers or different program and you can pan or zoom in and select specific areas in the charts.

Once you have decided on the layout that suits your purpose best you can save it and send it to other users. You can set up and select from different dashboards presenting the data that you need at different times or in different places, allowing you to display one set of information in your stations public areas and another in the studios.

Reporting

Our reporting system has been specially designed for television and radio broadcasters. You can report on:

Sessions and Bandwidth - giving you that crucial information on your audience such as audience count by period and audience peaks.
Players - providing useful information on player types, platforms and capability, helping you to make sure you are reaching your target audience
Tracks, Adverts or Shows - you can import your playlist to the database allowing you to produce reports comparing success of tracks adverts or shows.
Cost - detailed reports on your server usage and downtime helping you to make good money saving decisions.

All reports can be exported to a wide variety of formats or emailed. You can also easily schedule your reporting so that standard reports are run at preset intervals that you control.

Monitoring

We recognize how important your infrastructure is to your business and have designed CasterStats monitoring to keep you informed on the status of your streams, encoders and any automation software. The monitoring includes:

Availability Checking - keeping an eye on the status of your encoders.
Machine Status - monitoring the status of your stream and notifying you immediately of any failures
Silence Detection - listening for the silence on your stream that can happen if your automation software crashes but not your encoder.

You can be notified by email or SMS of all failures and can also monitor your infrastructure status using one of the visual components on your dashboard.

We have tried to design CasterStats to meet all your needs, but we know that every organization is unique in some way and sometimes you may want something from CasterStats that is not there as a standard option. We have designed the architecture so that with only a basic knowledge of .NET and any of the 55+ languages supported you will be able to build your own dashboard plug-in, data collector or create a report to meet your particular needs.
